We Sing to Listen
“We Sing to Listen” is an evening of Indigenous sound, curated by Kianah LongChase AKA TwoLips. This evening will be a conversation with ourselves, our hearts, and the more than human world as we reflect on futurity and the technology of song.
TwoLips (Kianah LongChase)
Informed by her upbringing in northern New Mexico, Kianah LongChase stands out as an artist with her finger on the pulse of global, pop, and fringe art spaces. Her interdisciplinary mediums include music, visual art, movement, and acting. As a multi-racial Black and Indigenous woman (Dena’ina, Lakota) she navigates the colonized world with antlers of awareness, ones that threaten to snag on the fabric of society. Her songs have been described as ‘message music’, as they explore themes of Blackness, Brownness, primal femininity, and sacred rage. With an addicting voice, unparalleled lyricism, and magnetic stage presence, TwoLips has earned showcases at SXSW, Leimert Park Juneteenth, Echo Park Rising, New Mexico Juneteenth, the Girl School Yoko Ono Tribute Choir, and The Palace (Poland) as well as exhibitions at Richard Levy Gallery (Albuquerque), The Heart Department (Los Angeles), and elsewhere. LongChase graduated from the University of New Mexico. She is a member of the Native Village of Eklutna. She lives and works in LA.

Hataałii
At 21-years-old, Hataałii — the singer, songwriter, and poet born Hataałiinez Wheeler in Window Rock, AZ, the capital of Navajo Nation — arrived just in time to witness American collapse. Not a galvanizing, grand explosion of empire but a paralysis-inducing decay and alienation that infects the American body politic. Zealotry repurposed into a new cultural crusade every week. Reality-building and delusion affirmation masquerading as liberty. The show-horse ladder of success. Pandora’s Box purchased on credit, driving everyone mad in different ways, algorithmically determined to suit your unique neuroses.

HIGH DESERT HIDEAWAY ( Outdoor Event Space)
Our expansive backyard event space is truly one-of-a-kind, and not just in Santa Fe. Concepted with weddings and live events in mind, the High Desert Hideaway is a stunning outdoor oasis. Scattered with desert bloomers, cacti and succulents, this space exudes the high desert of Northern New Mexico, while staying contemporary in its design.
Our 4-sided arbor offers a beautiful canopy of vines and lights to gather under for your nuptials and/or reception and allows couples flexibility in how they want to set up their seating and vow ceremony. Our large deck, with the backdrop of our otherworldly murals flanking both walls, presents a great place for live bands, DJ’s or just another space to spread out and enjoy the party. The Hideaway, our mobile bar created from a vintage Shasta trailer, will serve up the cocktails of your choice, along with offering another opportunity for great photos. The Mystic’s event space is complete with a unique and handmade fire pit area featuring tiered seating for large groups. It’s a great spot for songs and s’mores as your night winds on. There is plenty of space for food trucks, catering tents, and space for up to a 40’x40’ tent
