The Last Lost Weekend

A songwriter retreat & residency hosted by El Rey Court with support from Western AF, The Americana Music Association, and Madre Mescal.

The residency will run February 17th - 22nd, with writer’s rounds performed in “La Reina,” El Rey’s cantina, on February 21st and 22nd. Both nights are free and open to the public.

The Last Long Weekend features acclaimed songwriters and touring artists JP Harris, Kristina Murray, John R Miller, Jaime Wyatt, Hunter Park (She Returns From War) and Riddy Arman.

Founded with a long term vision, the project aims to become an annual convergence, with a new batch of artists each year. In tandem, Harris and a diverse panel of industry professionals will open two slots annually at the retreat for aspiring or up-and-coming Americana songwriters, wherein they may collaborate and gain potential artistic mentorship from the larger group; selections would be made through a submission-based grant program, and funded via a multi-faceted partnership of presenters and sponsors.

All ages are welcome, 21+ to enjoy beverages at the bar. Tickets are not required. This event is free and open to the public; however, tips to the band are always welcome and appreciated!
