Retrace the footsteps of New Mexico’s ancestors as they process with the image of the La Conquistadora from the oldest capital building in the United States – the Palace of the Governors, constructed in 1607, to the historic Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi for a pontifical mass with the 12th Archbishop of Santa Fe, The Very Reverend John C. Wester. The procession is part of the activities called for in the City of Santa Fe Proclamation of September 16, 1712 establishing Fiesta de Santa Fe.
