Collected Works Bookstore and Violet Crown theater are partnering to celebrate the legacy of acclaimed Oscar-winning cinematographer and photographer Sir Roger A Deakins.

The event, which will take place at Violet Crown, will include a conversation with Roger Deakins and James Deakins, moderated by Bill Shapiro, the former editor-in-chief of LIFE magazine and the founding editor of LIFE dot com, followed by a book signing of Byways and then a screening of Deakins' film, No Country for Old Men, at 6pm (for movie tickets please visit Violet Crown.)

'Byways' (Damiani Books) is the first monograph by the legendary Oscar-winning cinematographer Sir Roger A Deakins, best known for his collaborations with directors such as the Coen brothers, Sam Mendes and Denis Villeneuve. 'Byways' includes previously unpublished black-and-white photographs spanning five decades, from 1971 to the present.
