Michael Christopher Montiel was raised in Santa Fe New Mexico. Began playing in bands early in high school and continued playing all over the southwest in “The Ozone Express”, “The Whiskey River Band”, and “The Jakes” ( who are still together and playing local gigs). I have been recently Playing in a trio called “Montiel Trio” or “Los Montiels” with my son, Jake on Bass and Frank Ondrusec on drums, Sister Mary Evans is a new addition to our band on vocals. I have been playing for many years at local casinos and clubs such as Tinys, Evangelos, The Boxcar, La Fonda Hotel, etc. I play classic country, rock, blues, R&B, and enjoy all kinds of music.
