Manzanares and Mariachi Calor

  • Santa Fe Plaza 63 Lincoln Avenue Santa Fe, NM, 87501 United States (map)

Manzanares is led by brothers David and Michael Manzanares and features the virtuosic rhythms of their Latin/Worldbeat band. The band features some of the most prolific musicians in the industry including Mark Clark, Kanoa Kaluhiwa, Kevin Miller, Jose Romero, Chief Sanchez, and Maximiño Manzanares.

Their album Gitarra Latino made it on the short list for a Grammy nomination, and they have won six New Mexico Music Association Awards including Album of the Year. Throughout their musical journey Manzanares gained both national and international attention. Their music has been showcased on film, television, and numerous musical projects. They have shared the stage with a multitude of incredible musicians including The Mavericks, Harry Belafonte, Los Lobos, Malo, and Stephan Bruton.

Their Nuevo Latino style delivers an exciting approach to the very danceable Rumba Flamenca style mixed with exotic percussive blends & rhythms. Manzanares has been likened to the Gipsy Kings, Santana and Los Lobos mixed with a touch of New Mexico 505! For over three decades, Manzanares continues to ignite the stage and inspire their audiences with an exciting musical energy. Get ready to dance!
