The Outstanding Citizens Collective is releasing our first official group ALBUM on Dec 22nd 2023 (pre-save link in comments) at “Hip-Hop for the Holidays” Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery

We set out to create this record at our very first meeting as the OCC back in 2016. Our plan was to release 4 solo albums (BENZO III, Wolfman Jack, Fluid & O. G. Willikers) and then culminate with a group album featuring all four emcees plus features from some of our closest collaborators and collective members.

We were all able to make records (plus other side projects and solo works) but the Outstanding Citizens Collective album remained unfinished.

Over time the line-up changed and we gained two amazing new members (Art of Rhyme aka Anthonius Monk & Prismatic Soul), Fluid moved back to Ohio and our dear brother Benzo III passed away in 2021.

After letting the work sit unfinished for a couple of years, we’ve decided that it’s been long enough. We need to honor our brother Benzo’s legacy and keep our movement alive.

In November 2023, O.G. and DJ Cap went back to the lab to tie up some loose ends and wrap up the 7 year project (We couldn’t finish all the songs from that era so expect more gems in the near future!)

We are so happy to share these tracks recorded between 2016-2019 and to continue to create and release music for many years to come!
