This January, Alkemē invites you to Heart & Home an exclusive series of dinners inspired by the communal dining traditions of Asia. Rooted in the traditions of shared meals across Asia—like Vietnam’s Cơm Gia Đình, Taiwan’s Xǐ Yàn, Japan’s Teishoku, & Thailand’s “สำรับ” (Samrub) —these dinners celebrate the beauty of coming together around the table.
These meals celebrate the art of sharing food, where dishes are presented together as a harmonious set, creating a sense of connection & belonging. Curated by Chef Hue-Chan and Guest Chef Derek Rugsaken, & others, this series brings you humble yet refined comfort foods, rooted in heritage & prepared with heart.
Served as a set meal, these intimate gatherings recall meals shared with family or friends. A gathered meal showcasing heritage foods, savor not just the dishes but the culture, tradition, & warmth they bring.
