Rooted in the high desert, Future Scars is a tender, frenzied monsoon of sound.
With lyrically-focused songs that rise and fall between impassioned roars and soft confessions, they create a dramatic, emotionally turbulent musical landscape for the members’ diverse influences to converge.
While the band’s genre could be described as “part” everything—metal, post-rock, weird-rock, prog, indie—their sound resists labeling, which allows the listener to fully sink into their unfamiliar yet compelling euphonic world.
Fire for the People:
Fire for the People is an instrumental band based in Santa Fe, NM. With backgrounds in jazz, rock and folk, guitarists Evan Kottle and Tony Burling use a unique sense of songwriting that includes interwoven guitar melodies and heavy rock anthems. It’s all grounded by Mike Petersen on bass and Dave Wayne on drums. Their self-titled album is truly original, a sound they call folk/funk.
