Summer is here and July 4th is around the corner! There's no better way to salute the good fortune we have to be living in the City Different than by sharing a birthday party for America with our families and friends.
The FREE annual City of Santa Fe Fourth of July event is hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe, and Event Chair Ray Sandoval and his team are fired up to create fun at this year's FREE public celebration on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Santa Fe Place Mall.
“Kiwanis can't wait to welcome our fellow Santa Fesinos and our visitors to a safe, festive, in-person community celebration at Santa Fe Place Mall with live entertainment, food trucks, and a professional high-altitude, safely-launched fireworks display to mark the birth of our nation,” says Event Chair Sandoval.
City of Santa Fe Fire Officials are asking our whole community to help create a safe holiday by being aware of the continuing dry conditions in our New Mexico environment.
While fireworks and July 4th historically go together, it's a proven fact that the safest and best way to enjoy a sparkling sky is with a professional public show rather than creating the risk of accidentally starting a fire with sparks from home displays. Fire personnel will be onsite at the Mall to ensure a safe event, and when you attend this fun free celebration, you will be helping our hard-working Fire Dept. enjoy a safe fireworks show too.
Music from The Brujo Trio, Brandon Post, Michael Matison and the Kats and Una Mas y La ChaCha will light up the night so lace up your dancing shoes and get ready to share the fun at a free dance party with family and friends.
You can get your Zozobra tickets and this year's amazing hot new Zozobra merchandise before it sells out. And you'll also get a chance to meet the official 2024 Zozobra artists who made Zozobra look his gloomy best on this year's tees and posters!
There will be plenty of food options! If you're bringing your own picnic, for the safety and enjoyment of all who attend, we've created easy-to-find dedicated parking areas for RV vehicles and those who choose to bring and use to an outdoor grill.
